Dinner with Lady Mondegreen

One of my favorite hobbies is to collect puns that I think up of when I'm bored. Often, I feel the urge to check Google to see if they're actually original. It just seems so much less funny if somebody else had thought of it before, however illogical that may seem. I should note that the subject of these puns are those which I like least, such the titles of anime cartoons or names of certain people.

This is a partial list. I may or may not add to it later.

• If Diglett evolves into Dugtrio (Pokemon evolution, not Darwin/Mendel/Malthus evolution), perhaps a more powerful form of “nublet” is “nubtrio.”
• Dragon Benzene—the precursor to the idiotically popular anime series FMA. Google results for this are… interesting.
• Every time I heard the first Pokemon theme song, I always seemed to hear, “Gotta Catch Jamal!” within the refrain. It didn't make sense to me until I actually saw the images that said “Gotta Catch'em All!“

Perhaps the source of my predilection for anime-related puns is that “Secret Asian Man” inside all of us.
